Sister Basil Gekiere, ICM, founded the museum to preserve and promote the distinct richness of the Igorot way of life. Beside the museum building, a model of a traditional Bontoc village highlights various aspects of Bontoc's material culture.

Backstrap and Loom Weaving Houses: Experience the Art of Weaving

The art of weaving is done in Sabangan and Sagada, but Samoki, a village in Bontoc, specializes in backstrap weaving.
